Overview

The School of Media and Communication was conceived realizing the need and trend of the fast-growing media Industry. The School of Media and Communication offers a UG course in Visual Communication which was introduced in 2005. Understanding the need of the dynamic academic world, the school has introduced a PG course in MA Journalism and Communication. The vibrant department has gained a unique identity in the academic arena.

The USP of the school is the blend of going beyond classrooms and integrating industry needs with the required academic rigor that includes field trips, lectures from media veterans and experts, workshops, seminars, exhibitions, and media fests.

The School of Media & Communication trains the students to realize their potential and sharpen their visualization skills to face the challenges of the Media Industry.  The primary thrust of the courses are to train aspiring students in various aspects of Drawing, Graphic design, photography, radio and television production, film making, web designing, Computer graphics, PR campaign, TV News talk shows, and advertising so that they make a mark in any of these industries.  The Labs are well equipped and have an array of the latest photography and videography equipment.  The computer labs are constantly updated with the latest software relevant to the media industry. Many Short films, commercials, and content for YouTube channels have been developed so far. There are dedicated faculty for video and audio productions.
